Score Creator is a music composition application that is specially designed for mobile platforms. It's a simple but powerful music creation tool that caters your need of writing music on the go.

Notes not playing at all
Score creator is very fun and easy to work with when it is performing well, however, for many instruments, some notes don’t play at all, seemingly at random. After every time I play back the audio, a different amount and different set of notes across many instruments simply don’t play. Clearly this is some kind of bug that needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Needs some sounds fixes
ScoreCreator is my favourite app for composing music, and although this app is incredible, there are always a few instruments that just don’t sound right. Some instruments, such as the clarinet for example, are almost impossible to hear when put in a band / orchestra.
A few things that I would like to see added would be to have the dynamics and articulations work.
I would also love it if the standard volume was put back to medium. I often want to change the volume of just one instrument, but when I want to do so, I have to put every other instrument down. Having everything set to medium or having a saveable volume control would fix this issue.
There is also a very noticeable sound issue when wearing headphones. A large cracking sound can be heard when listening back to an orchestral arrangement, which makes it hard to listen to.
There is some general startup lag but other than that the app is really good and a must buy for any student looking to compose on their iPad / iPhone or whatever handheld device they’re using.
As good as a mobile score create app can be
Pretty useful for writing down little melodies you think of now and then, but a mobile app will never be a tool for serious score writing. It has a simple interface, it’s easy to write small and quick things, and adding much more would make it too complex for a mobile app. There’s lots of instruments, most of which sound alright, and the interface isn’t full of ads or anything.
Definitely one of the best if not the best apps for mobile songwriting, and as good as you’ll get for a free iPhone app. Can’t comment on the experience on other devices, but I’d assume it’s similar.
