Ratings and Reviews
This game has much to recommend it. It’s a faithful rendition of the classic game. HOWEVER given the ridiculous frequency with which the CPU player uses highly uncommon and obscure words, it would be useful if the game optionally provided a dictionary definition for words. When the CPU plays ‘ZA’ is like to be able to find out what the last played word means (slang for ‘pizza’ apparently). Failing this it feels that the CPU is getting away with playing gibberish, diminishing enjoyment of the game. I’m happy to expand my vocabulary but want to understand what the words I’m playing mean.
First time user review
Never played scrabble before but this version not only allowed increase in English skills through giving suggestions once a word has been played, it also gives usable two letter words in a dictionary style listing. I recommend this for beginners as well as for those who are students or have English as a second language. Well done developers 10/10
Doesn’t do what the real scrabble does
This doesn’t allow you to earn points on two words when going vertically and horizontally e.g If the first word is ‘write’ going vertically , I would add the letter ‘r’ to make the word ‘writer’ going in the vertical direction but then make a new word like ‘rested’ going horizontally. By doing this I should get points for both words however this game doesn’t let you. Pretty stink considering you technically made two words, especially when it’s not just new words made using the ‘s’ letter.
