ScreenZen- Screen Time Control 4+

LOVE THIS APP!!

Hey Scott, absolutely adore this app. The streak function has especially made me check my phone less (and also relish the time I spend scrolling through social media more which is a bit of an unintended side effect haha). I especially love the option to answer maths questions when waiting for an app to unlock, it makes me feel like I've earned the ability to chill out for a second.
I do have a few questions though. First off, I have this app downloaded on both my iPad and iPhone, and on my iPad I gave a tip to ensure lifetime access and get new features. I'm wondering if there's a way to sync the apps so that I have lifetime access for my phone as well? Also, I did notice that I didn't get the extra features (like adding a picture to the block screen or changing the block screen colour), so I'm just wondering if those features are still being developed or if this is perhaps a bug of some sort.
If I had to make any suggestions, I would add an advanced option to the Pause Alternative "Math Problems" option to say that I might have to get at least one answer correct (or something like that) in order to access the app.

The best app I’ve ever downloaded

I recommend this ScreenZen to all my friends, to be perfectly honest. I’ve cut down my doomscrolling on Instagram and reddit by half, and I feel like I have my life back. The pop ups are consistent, reliable, simple, easy to set up, and effective. I set my app to interrupt me opening apps like tumblr, Instagram, and reddit and making me wait 60 seconds before it opens. I set it so that I can’t change these settings unless I wait 2 minutes for the settings to unlock.

It takes away the impulsivity of picking up my phone to scroll for endless dopamine hits and replaces it with a reminder to breathe and take a sip of water, and ask whether I really need to open the app. You can set limits on time spent on the app, or amount of opens, and shut off access entirely after certain hours. It’s saved my sleep schedule.

Best of all; no ads and no premium service, and still receiving ongoing support and bug fixes. I think Drew Gooden recommended it in one of his videos as well. Love this app, wouldn’t change a thing. Fantastic work, devs I love you (not seriously tho)

Highly recommend this app

Has helped with putting space between the impulse thought of picking up my phone and scrolling and actually doing it. It is not as restrictive as Screen time as it does not limit number of uses per day( which the monkey brain bypasses anyway😂), rather it helps you bring yourself to the moment and be more mindful about using apps. I’ve gone from scrolling my Instagram for long extended periods of time to smaller mindful chunks in which I can connect with you friends through sending memes( the intended purpose of social media). Great work developers! Will buy full app as a courtesy🤩
