Trust

Sadly an unfortunate event happened today where a bug prevented the app from showing licenses. I had all my trust on the app and relied on it as my wallet so I never bring a physical wallet anywhere I go. This could be a serious issue like if getting pulled over by a cop and you’re only carrying your phone because you put all faith that the app will show your license but the license could not show then you’d be paying a hefty fine and no way to get back. Luckily that didn’t happen to me, I just needed my ID for something else. It’s sad to know now that I have to carry a physical license everywhere I go.

*Review: This app hasn’t been too bad for me, and has done everything I need. But I agree with other users when trying to check-out of a venue, but it somehow disappearing and there being no options to restore it. I often have to check in and out of one venue multiple times, because the check-out isn’t there. As for accounts… I can’t actually log into the website (and haven’t been able to since the service was called RTA) because it says I don’t have an account but when I try to register, it says my email is already in use and ‘forget/forgot password’ says that email isn’t registered. YET… the exact same details I used on the website, works for the app. I haven’t changed any of my sign-in details, so something is obviously wrong with the system!

If you are experiencing this issue still, please send us the error screenshot at mobileapp@service.nsw.gov.au, we can investigate your account issues. If you have been using the guest check-in, you won't be able to view the history. However, when checking out, tap the app, tap the COVID safe-check-in, if you see a red dot on recent, tap it to check-out from the latest check-in.

Touchup idea

Congratulations for the responsible‘s of this application and a big respect for the developers behind the scene for the neat and tidy job, A small suggestion if I may, On the licenses and credential section under these licenses there are some dots, each not represent a license, it would be nice if you could swap between licenses from the dots under, for faster swap. For example if you have an app on the last page on your iPhone, instead of swapping the pages till you get to the last page you can just log tap on the dots under and then swipe to the last dot, This way you can go to the last page faster. Now take this and apply it to the license and credentials section in the service NSW app.
