ShopBack is actually a decently useful app. So far I’ve withdrawn $30 into my bank account that I saved up on the app. It does take 1-3 months for purchases to stop pending but people have to understand that this is a precautionary measure to prevent people from abusing the service. I’ve not had a problem with purchases not being tracked. Agoda is a good one to use as I have pending a $50 cashback which adds up if you travel frequently. I have around $25 ready to be withdrawn and a further $70 that is pending. You just have to be patient. I don’t understand why people complain about the wait time.. if you hadn’t used this app you would have never gotten any cashback in the first place so a bit of waiting is negligible for doing something you would have done regardless of the app exisiting. I think it is a great app if people have the patience to use it to shop for their items.

The Offers Work, But Support Is Lacking

For the most part, this app is FANTASTIC. I’ve redeemed over $600 in a a little over 12 months, while on a very tight budget. Occasionally there’s a hiccup in a purchase not tracking or the wrong cashback being recorded, which are easy to fix. However they take time, and this is a particular issue when you need to verify something BEFORE making a purchase.IE - the app usually tells you when or which coupon/promo codes are valid for use and will provide cashback. However, sometimes stores have an upsized cashback rate (maybe from their usual 4% to 10%) for a limited time but exclude the use of coupon codes - despite particular coupon codes still being listed as valid in the app. There is no way to contact the support team fast enough to get an answer before the promotion ends, thus rendering any answer useless. The virtual assistant can’t answer most questions, so this isn’t a viable route.Other than that, the app is great. This is genuine, and by far the most useful and rewarding app I use.

I signed up through my niece and my brother signed up with me and I received a bonus for both. I didn’t know that I had to complete tasks to get the bonus money and it was showing on my account. I opened the app and ready to scan a receipt and noticed that the bonus money had disappeared. I contacted them about it and I was told unfortunately the time frame has lapsed and I have lost the money. I believe that an automated message should have been sent prior to the expiration date but nothing and I wasn’t offered anything to keep the bonus. IF I knew about these so called tasks I would have done them, but I didn’t and I said that to the person who was sending me the emails. As there was nothing offered and perhaps they could have given me an extra month to complete the task and because nothing was I decided to close my account and delete it. I strongly recommend to close your account and I have asked them to stop sending me emails and yet I have received another one after I said stop, also if you have to do tasks to receive money then people have too much time on your hands Thank you for reading my review and I hope you make the right decision to close your account Take care

Mate referred me a while back and he actually got his $30 bonus. App said I’d get a 50% cash back on a $10 gift voucher and then a bonus $5 cash back if I spend $20 as apart of being a new user and getting referred.. in the mean time I had bought a $50 good guys voucher through the app (wasn’t on the list of 50% new user promo) but the $5 bonus didn’t activate. When i went to buy a $10 gift card that was on the 50% cash back list and it now tells me I’m no longer a new user because I’ve now already made a purchase.Tried to get a hold of some sort of customer assistance but all I found was their rubbish AI that did not help at all.- The app works, you can get some decent cash back but be sure to read ALL the terms and to activate all challenges before even thinking of making a purchase. They want you spend money through the app but they seem to wanna use any excuse not to award your cashback. Both my mate and I are waiting for our cashouts to be awarded and then we’re deleting the app because we’ve found a much better experience with the “CashRewards” app.
