ShoppingList is the first and one of the most used shopping list apps for the iPhone.
With ShoppingList you have your shopping list on your iPhone or iPod touch.
So you can benefit of a multiplicity of advantages:
• simply add, remove and rearrange the individual entries
• group products by category
• add amount (also nonstandard measurements)
• add prices (ShoppingList automatically calculates the sum)
• have as many lists as you want
• comfortably choose from your recent and frequently used products
• Dropbox sync: Lists are automatically synchronized between devices
• Barcode scanner: products can be easily entered by scanning their barcode
ShoppingList is consequently designed for iPhone OS and focused on user-friendliness. So you can immediately use it, without having to study a manual.
Have your shopping list always there, just like your iPhone or iPod, always ready when you come up with something, that you want to buy.
- Bugfixes and stability improvements
New in release 3.7:
- Improved compatibility with iOS 11
- Adjusted layout for iPhone X

Ratings and Reviews
Excellent app, but could use an update!
A fantastic, simple, does-what-you-need app. I’ve been using it for a few years now, have tried a few others, but always come back to this app. The simple customisation options making shopping organised and easy.
Pro’s: Dropbox Sync between devices (and household shoppers with a shared Dropbox folder); the ability to separate products into different databases and customise each independently: for example, you can create a supermarket list with products categorised by store section or aisle, a separate hardware store list, a list for a shopping centre or markets with products categorised by store, and best of all, via a preference setting, the products can remain separate to each list.
My one wish list item: have the iPad version rotate when in landscape.
Con’s: The product hasn’t had any development since late 2013 and I’ve had some problems with the app freezing since the iOS 9 upgrade. However, I haven’t been able to identify a consistent cause for this.
It’s definitely worth giving this version a try, and I really hope ShoppingList hasn’t simply become abandonware.
This One is Good Because it’s Simple
I disagree with many of the suggestions made here. I didn’t buy this app because it was cheap—I bought it because it looked simpler than the other shopping-list options. I’ve been in touch with the developer and have made one suggestion. When I’m shopping, I put something in the basket, then write down on a notepad the item and its price. I then total the price when I’m done to make sure that I don’t overspend. I’ve asked him to add this and he’s amenable. I also suggested that he doesn’t add any more features. His differentiation from the others is the simplicity. Let the other developers add complexity. There are too many of these types of apps for all of them to do the same thing.
Apart from the simplicity of the app, I also thought it more visually appealing than the other options. If you don’t like Marker Felt (I don’t know why people dislike it), then your mileage may vary.
It is very cheap and I think if he keeps it simple, it will be priced well. Personally, if he solves my problem, I told him I’d be willing to pay more.
Still the best shopping list app.
When I reviewed an earlier version of this app I gave it four stars and said that the only thing missing was the ability to synchronise lists. Since then, the developer has added the ability import lists from emails. It's not exactly what I had hoped for - I would prefer to have a list that synchronised with my wife's phone automatically - but it's pretty close. Other than that, I still think ShoppingList is better than any other similar app I've seen. It has every feature I want (sync excluded) and a simple, intuitive interface. I particularly like the option of having multiple lists with only some showing up in the icon badge, and I've even used it as a to-do list on occasion. Overall, 4.95 stars. (Update - I've just realised that the app still only costs AU$1.19. That's an absolute steal, and if you're looking for a list app you would be mad not to try it out. 5 stars!)
