Description
Are you a shortwave radio listener (SWL) in need of an up to date set of schedules for international broadcast stations? Shortwave Broadcast Schedules is a handy app that displays broadcast schedules of about 11,000 longwave, mediumwave, and shortwave broadcast stations.
The stations are initially listed in order by frequency. You can tap a button to see which stations are on the air right now, as well as search for stations by name, frequency, time of day that they are on, or select by language, target area, or country of origin.
Stations currently on the air are displayed in bold, making it quick and easy to see which stations are on right now.
The app can keep a log of stations you have heard, with the date, time, frequency, SIO, and other notes you wish to enter. Now your device can be your personal logbook!
You can keep track of favorite stations, as well as set reminders for favorite broadcasts, so you’ll never forget about a transmission again.
Tap on a station to bring up more information about the station, such as the country of origin, target area, and programming language.
When viewing the details for a station, you can tap on the frequency, country, target, or language to get a list of all other stations with that matching value. You can also tap on Schedule to see all of the transmissions throughout the day for this station.
Updated schedules can be downloaded for free.

About time
I have two SWL locations. One at home and the other in a Caravan park. For a while I have been taking my books and notes between both of these sites. I thought that there had to be a better way. Having previously used Black Cat Systems software for Amateur logging software and learning morse and a believer in you get what you pay for. I said to myself why not. At first I was disappointed because I changed a frequency using the app and lost the station completely. After a few attempts I gave up and watched TV with my wife for the night. We were at the Caravan park. The next day back at home I looked up the app on line and learnt that one needs to download the latest schedule updates. Once this was done I was a very happy Chappy. I will still be purchasing my WRTH hand book every year. Though this app is so handy. I have a Ten Tec radio as my main transceiver for SWL at home and have a Sony ICF 7600GR with a PK active loop for 3.5MHz to 16 or 18 MHz down at the Caravan park. I only listen to English broadcasts to Oceania. Pretty selective I know. But for other SW listeners there is a whole gambit of settings that I think will be useful to every SW listener. Great App for SWL
A most useful and user friendly app. I really like the way it regularly updates transmission schedules. Very useful on my phone when listening portable and can give alerts when you want a reminder for a certain station start up.

This app is simply brilliant, just what I have been looking for. It is very easy to use, yet powerful. If you are at all interested in SW listening, you really can’t go wrong with this - it will become an invaluable tool for finding out what is on air, then logging it. Excellent
