[How to use tune simply and accurately?]
- Enter the Tuner app.
- Click the left top button (Violin / Viola / Cello) to select your instrument.
- Click the string to be tuned.
- Play the corresponding open string.
- Check the indicator, follow the text instruction and tune the string.
Tips: If there are fine-tuning screws on your instrument, when the indicator is not close to sides (no large offset), then you can use fine-tuning to adjust the string.

A simple violin tuner to use for beginners.
The young students loved tuning until they got the green perfect tuning result. My students and I have enjoyed using this tuning app to help my primary age students to tune their violins while I was teaching online during 2020 due to Covid-19. Violy Tips:
1. tune the instrument in a relatively quiet environment;
2. always use cautious movements!
3. check if your strings are in a good condition (rust and oxidised)

Great and simple to use! No membership or monthly payment required either! Great app, I would pay for a premium life membership though if I had to.
Can tune gut strings
I play double bass and use gut strings. Using the “cello” setting I can tune my top, G, string. I’ve tried many tuners, expensive and cheap, and this is the only one that gives me an accurate indication.
