The app offers an optional monthly auto-renewing subscription** with a free trial if you wish to scan an unlimited number of photo slides.
The app also offers a One-Time plan which is paid for by a single upfront payment and offers unlimited access to the subscription features mentioned above.

**Payment will be charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew itself unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings in the App Store. Quick and easy

SlideScan is easy to use and you can scan slides quickly for acceptable quality digital files. Resolution and colour accuracy is limited by the quality of your phone camera and is not as good as what you can achieve with a DSLR camera + macro lens or a dedicated slide scanner. For the price though, the app is good value.

SlideScan app

Fantastic tool to use to store old slides in digital format. Even better if you use their optional “free “ white light I pad sized gadget they mail to you if you sign up for a year . Can set up about 12 slides on the light while using your I phone to scan the individual slides . Very happy with results from some 40 year old slides I had stashed away from a working trip to Antarctica ! Bought back great memories !

Love this App!

This app is doing exactly what I hoped it would! Provided you use it in the right conditions (good natural light and a bond background), the slides come out beautifully. I am using it to create a slide show so I don’t know how they’d come out if you printed them, but I’ve found the quality fantastic. Would highly recommend for those wanting to bring old slides alive!
