Smart Player makes watching videos on your Mac effortless! It plays all common file types (MOV, MP4, MKV, AVI plus many more) with ease. As you add video files to your Mac, Smart Player automatically adds them to its library. The app recognizes movies, TV shows and home videos, and groups them for you.

Great player!
Works every time or at least I haven't had any issues with it as a daily user. Definitely recommending it !
Not ready for use yet (Aug 2019)
Crashes when it opens. Crashes when you plug in an external drive. Crashes when you change movies. Displays a mysteriously blank window when it does open. Some UI elements are white-on-white, so I don't know what they are.
I reinstalled the app twice; it didn't get any better. Maybe one day this will be ready to be released, but it's not there yet, and certainly not anywhere close to justifying a monthly subscription.
