Description

Type SMS messages on your Mac computer and send them via your iPhone.
This iPhone client application requires Mac version of SMS sender, which can be downloaded from the App Store. Your iPhone and the Mac computer must be on the same network.

Other features of SMS client and SMS sender:
- auto connecting to iPhone SMS client
- reading recipients directly from Apple Contacts
- sending messages to an individual recipient or to a group
- import a group from a csv file
- creating message templates
- history of sending
- recent recipients list

Sending the SMS message must be confirmed on the iPhone due to security reasons - this confirmation is a feature of the Apple developing environment, in which the "SMS client" application is written. It is not possible to send a message without such a confirmation.

!!! Important connection information !!!
Both your Mac and your iPhone must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
SMS sender and SMS client use a standard Apple Bonjour service for discovering devices on the network, applications use an arbitrary port number between 49152 and 65535 (as any other third-party application).
If SMS sender is not able to find your iPhone on the network, it seems that ports 49152-65535 are blocked in your computer or in the router. Then, restart the router, the computer and relaunch the application on your iPhone.

Apple you really need to stop this blatant theft

This is a clunky app, requires you to do more tasks than sending a message by hand, set up on computer then set up a separate app on the iphone, so if i wanted to send a message, i have to first start the app on the phone, despite having all the auto connects on i have to do it manually, then i have to start the app on the mac, then i had to create a csv file from my contacts and import it into the sms app, then you select your person or group and then type your message and then choose send. When this is all done you then have to go to your phone and also push send ....that is if your phone hasn't locked itself and you have to redo the whole process. What a crock once again THEFT

Not a handy app

The point of an app is to be streamlined and helpful. With this app, you have load and connect on your iPhone, then load the app on your Mac and connect, then confirm back on your iPhone, and every time the iPhone app goes to the background because you're using another app, it disconnects and you have to go through it all again. By the time I've done all that each time, I could have typed out the message on my iPhone, so not handy. If you're going to send out a mass SMS, it'd be useful, but for the user who just wants to respond to messages from their Mac because they're on their Mac at the time (like me), it's not a great app.

Mr

not worth the hassle.
It takes too many steps to complete each SMS. The ONLY advantage is being able to type on your computer keyboard... but after spending so much time and effort to make sure everything is working properly, then confirming that the SMS is legitimate etc... it would be quicker and easier to just do the whole thing from your iPhone!
