Ratings and Reviews
Limited at best, app looks unfinished
The web browser experience is already not that good, but the app is painful. Although I quite like the hosting service itself, so go figure. Hoping to see Smugmug up their game in this space. A decent backup app would be great.
Pointless
A single 2 minute video took all day to upload to an album then crashed 2 seconds before the end saying ‘network error’. There is no network error - network is working perfectly fine. Did this 4 days in a row. So I downloaded the ap to desktop to discover its very clunky for a start - trying to scroll through galleries and they are all overlapping so titles are unreadable. Now trying to upload a short video and its taking as long as the website. So utterly zero point in using it.
Stick with the browser
The SmugMug desktop will upload photos, but not much else (that I could see). It doesn't appear to have the functionality to customise or navigate my SmugMug and it cannot be opened full screen.
I was excited to try this app, and I really wanted it to be great, but it needs some work.
