Great but could be better
Sora is a great reading app but there is a few things that need to be improved, First it’s like an online library so there is only a certain amount of copies of each book which I don’t think is necessary also the wait list is reeeeeealy long and last you have to renew your books which you can’t do if someone else is waiting for it. So yeah three stars
Awesome, but… ;-;
So like Sora is an rlly good app I use it at school and stuff, it was going pretty smoothly for like 3 years, but then… I tried to borrow a book, and it said placehold for 30 weeks and I’m like, ‘fine, ok’ so I do. 30 weeks later, it says ‘title is available’ so I get it, but then it glitches so I swipe the app. When I rejoin, it’s not in my loans or holds. So I search it up in the toolbar it says, ‘placehold??’ And then it says ‘for 25 weeks’ and I’m like, WTH, um no. Also, I borrowed this book, and when I tried to renew it cos I hadn’t finished, it says ‘this book is not in your library’ and I’m like ‘seriously??’ Cos I js want to READ A BOOK instead of have to ‘WAIT FOR 25 WEEKS OVER AGAIN’ I think you could at least send a message like ‘one of the books in your bookshelf has left your library.’ Also, often when I borrow a place holded book, I have to swipe cos it glitches and stuff, and when I swipe it gets sent back. It says ‘borrow’ at the book in holds and the bell, but when I press it, it just says ‘not available. So awesome app… but few problems overall. I JUST WANT TO READ A BOOK PLS.
Needs a lot of improvement
Sora isn’t a great reading app. Here’s why. Firstly, the place hold thing is absolutely appalling. I placed a hold for a book and the wait time was 3 weeks. Then it changed to 5 weeks! I was so mad about this. Then I once placed a hold for a book and it took 12 weeks! I’m not wasting 12 weeks for a book I need for an assignment. Then the assignment will be due by then. Next, Sora doesn’t update fast. All the books are old and boring. We need more graphic novels. There is a lot of new ones that aren’t in Sora yet. All the boring books are always available. Fix this immediately! WORST APP EVER
