Love it - always room for improvement

Love using Soundcloud. I pay for storage as I upload podcasts and that gives me no ads and I love that. Would love this options to include all the GO songs too maybe one day they will introduce a combined subscription. Would love the option to have Soundcloud be a part of Buzzsprout’s distribution for podcasts one day too that would make things way easier. I do love the option to share straight from GarageBand that makes things easy with how it is set up currently. Been with Soundcloud for years because initially on the free version there was only an ad every half hour to an hour and started paying maybe after my first free year using it. You won’t regret getting Soundcloud.

The ‘SoundCloud’ application looks pretty good and because of its design, it is pretty easy to use, too… With reasonable audio quality and low data use, this application is great for discovering new artists and listening to your favorites.There seems to be quite a few people complaining about the advertising which is played intermittently, and whilst I think that the cost of a ‘Go+’ subscription is a little steep when compared to other popular streaming services, I don’t think this criticism is fair… Whether people want to admit it or not, the operational costs behind SoundCloud would be significant, and there seems to be a fair balance between advertising and actual content (unlike say, a certain major video platform…).What I will complain about though, is SoundCloud’s lack of ‘CarPlay’ support… Most popular audiobook, music and streaming audio applications have ‘CarPlay’ support these days; but not SoundCloud it would seem.Like many people, I primarily listen to music in my vehicle and the lack of ‘CarPlay’ support is a deal-breaker for me… It is also one of the two main reasons why I refuse to subscribe to ‘Go+’.I like this application, it’s visually appealing and it seems to work well enough… But the steep price of ‘Go+’ and the lack of support for ‘CarPlay’ mean that I cannot justify more than three “stars” in my review at this time.If SoundCloud were to reconsider the price of ‘Go+’ and integrate ‘CarPlay’ support, I would gladly re-evaluate my App Store review accordingly.

This normally never happens before but latest versions of this app just made SoundCloud frustrating.Major issue is how this application refuses to load up a song at times, even if you restart the app and have stable internet connection, it may not load up the song as if it's having trouble connecting to the server.Minor issue is how the song abruptly ends or skip to the next song when it reaches like the last two seconds of the current song. This never happened half a year ago and it seems like they're not sorting this issue out ever since I have to reinstall this app. It's annoying and it needs to be fixed.I'm giving this application two stars because while it may be usable, it has issues and the tablet/iPad version is inferior to the mobile/iPhone version because we don't have the option to see the song's description and comments, let alone write our own comments.

The only benefit this really has from other music apps, from my eyes, is the fact that there is so much more content and things to listen to. There are more downsides than upsides, from my perspective. Like the ads. In my opinion, they are extremely repetitive and come around too often. the ads vary from when they pop up, but for some reason I only ever get one of two different ads that both last for 15 seconds. Not to mention that there were 2 seperate times where I’ve listened to a song, got an ad, moved to the next song literally a second later and then got the exact same 15 second ad I just had to watch. And it’s not just that, but there are a lot of songs that need Soundcloud pro, which I find annoying. I understand why, it’s just sometimes disappointing.Apart from those, it’s a pretty good app, but I would still mainly prefer something else.
