A real let down...
I had high hopes when I saw that Spritz finally released their own app. I heard about spritz years ago and started looking for ways to use it. I think originally they were licensing the technology out to other app developers and browsers, which meant they didn’t have their own dedicated application, but maybe that didn’t work out?
I even paid $20 or something like that to use another app that used Spritz technology so that I could read books on planes, but turns out you could only use the app while connected to the internet (before internet was available on planes).... fail.
Anyhoo.. can’t do PDF, can’t upload books or any other formats (I.e. textbooks for uni..). Much like one of the other reviews I can’t read news articles, it just reads the web domain over and over and over. When I’m using the app my ‘select’ function on my phone seems to somehow be disabled, which stops you from selecting the text to read. I would love to have enough faith in this app to subscribe, but it just doesn’t seem like they have enough features to make it worth while. This app needs some VC funding and a team of 5 developers to get it up to scratch. Lots of potential, but a compete let down in its current form.

Thanks for your detailed input. You are correct about the original business model being one of licensing Spritz to other apps and websites. That did not work out to be a sustainable business model. We are currently working on a PDF reader that we expect to release by the end of the month. The current app is strictly a web browser and it can Spritz most news articles. Please email support@spritz.com with the specifics of the problems you are having any hopefully we can help you get it working properly.
Downloaded it because of the 1000 words per minute idea which is a post purchase but isn’t clear
I downloaded the app because of the promised 1000 words per minute - which - after downloading I find its a extra purchase to use that. The description is unclear and the app is not worth getting.
