The Global Currency Card is a reloadable prepaid Visa card used to make payments in multiple currencies, either in person or online, wherever Visa cards are accepted. You can choose from 11 currencies, locking in the exchange rate when you load funds onto the card.

It’s a simple, secure and convenient way to shop, whether online or overseas.

The mobile app helps you manage your card on the go. You can:
- View your wallet balances and transactions
- Add currency wallets
- Transfer money between your wallets, exchange money, remove wallets and change your wallet order
- Temporarily block and unblock you card
- Report lost or stolen cards and change your card PIN
- Change and reset your username and password
- Set transaction alerts via push notifications
- Track your load limit

The Global Currency Card is available to St.George Bank customers with an Australian residential address, over 16 years of age.

They couldn’t have stuffed it up more

Ordered St George global Currency cards. Changed over $2k to euros. Layover in Dubai airport for 4 hours where I used the card for a beer at the bar and fries at MacDonald’s. card is now blocked and unusable due to suspicious activity (airport food purchase is suspicious?). The app says it is blocked but provides NO OPTION to unblock whatsoever. The web based login says everything is fine. Downloaded latest version of app software and no fix. Only way to contact st George is via an Australian direct number and I have no phone to make calls on.
thanks for nothing. Hope your next holiday experience is downgraded a peg due to an incompetent bank.

Terrible app

I just downloaded the app and activated my card. This was a nightmare as the way it’s displayed is not easy to navigate.
I then had to login and it said my password is incorrect.. I had literally just set the password so doesn’t make sense. I probably won’t use the card as I’m worried I’ll be stuck while travelling

Having banked with St George for many years I thought their Global currency card would be ideal for a trip to the UK. Using it has not been a very good experience....it was not accepted at Barclays Bank (part of the Global Alliance banks) as stated. I had to sign for every transaction(why bother having a pin!) So I certainly will not be using it again.
