Very good, but feels unfinished.

Overall, the game is a lot of fun for any sci fi fan, especially Star Trek. It has a good sense of humour, the story is fun to play through, the missions are engaging and challenging on mid range to higher levels, the controls once you figure them out are pretty good too.

The biggest issue is that it just doesn't feel like a finished game. Some of the locations in the galaxy map open up as the story progresses but even after you finish the story most of the planets stay locked. It feels like they were going to expand it but then just didn't and walked away from it. The storyline is also quite short. It opens up the galaxy map allowing you to explore the available planets for a few missions before abruptly taking you back to earth for the final chapter. There is also a lack of game guide and FAQs meaning that through the game there are a lot of buttons and functions that appear with no real indication as to their purpose.

Gripes aside I did have fun playing this game, but it will only take you a few hours to complete and aside from a couple of different dialogue options there are few reasons to play through again.

Epic... but

This is the best space sim I have ever played. The storyline is good, believable and at times funny. There are still a few things needing to be addressed:

1: bugs

Sometimes when you reassign a person they will go somewhere completely different, when I saved a male Midorian from dying his face was transparent, and in the Grol transport mission with the soldiers, when there was the first soldier and the teleportation systems exploding he fell onto the ground. The mission finished and he's still there. Also, after a game over it will crash when you press resume.

2: Storyline

It was good but when you complete the story and restart with a new ship there should be a subplot based around that time loop, where the Grol make a reappearance.

3: Olympus

Come on. This has to become a playable ship. It should be classed as large and all rooms should fit.

Other than the above this game is totally epic and I will highly recommend it. I love how there are no ads and no in-app-purchases. I would say this game is better than Faster Than Light. (Ps. Can you please add online ghost battles and a room that you can teleport crew over to the enemy ship please)

Brilliant

I bought this game a couple weeks ago because I couldn't download FTL onto my iPod so I jumped to star command so I could get the same sort of game and in fact I should have just got this because I'm loving it the gameplay is amazing and I can see why some people would gripe about having to command every little action like move people a lot so they can attack intruders but I think it was intentional because this is a hardcore game and you're supposed to manage every little aspect. The music is fine and in the level Europa (I think) in the dialog the far out reference to Nintendo (they made super mario bros) and midway (they made mortal kombat) is funny and it's not just the references that make it funny but it's superb writing and options in the text can potentially lead to hilarious comments one thing I would like is multiplayer so I can work with (or against) friends and show off my skill.

Overall 10/10 this is a landmark game on iOS and strategy fans will never delete it
