As you point your device towards the sky, the star map follows your motions using the built-in gyroscope to match the map on your screen to the stars seen from your location.
► What's up in the sky tonight? Open the "Visible Tonight" section and learn about the upcoming astronomical events and celestial objects that will be visible from your location.
► Be aware of the latest news from the world of space and astronomy. The app's "What's new" section will tell you about the most outstanding celestial events in time.
► Create shortcuts to take your stargazing experience to a whole new level. Go to the "Visible Tonight" section and add the shortcut to Siri. Next time when you want to access the list of astronomy events for your location, ask Siri and get it quicker than ever.
► Touching a clock-face icon at the upper-right corner of the screen allows you to select any date and time and watch the sky of different periods.
► Get a deeper understanding of the constellation`s scale and place in the night sky. Enjoy observing wonderful 3D models of constellations, turn them upside down, read their stories.
► Find and study deep sky objects such as meteor showers, planetary nebulae, star clusters, etc.
The app is ad-supported and contains In-App Purchases. If you want to use the app without ads, download the paid Star Walk 2 app or remove ads from Star Walk 2 Ads+ with a special In-App Purchase.
Star Walk 2 Ads+ offers an optional subscription that gives you access to all additional content and removes ads from the app. It is an auto-renewable subscription with one week free trial. At the end of each subscription duration (1 month), the subscription will automatically renew until you choose to cancel it. Users can manage their subscriptions in their account settings on the App Store.

Light pollution option
This is a great app and all, but I have a simple yet complex idea that you may consider adding to it. I’m sure you know what light pollution is, and so I was thinking about a option, maybe a button or something located on the top right of the screen, that allows you to change how the night sky would look like with different levels of light pollution. 1 being the best and 5 the worst. This would be useful to amateur astronomers that are curious about wherever or whenever it is best to view the night sky with less pollution. Like me, some of us would like to move somewhere to view the celestial bodies and deep sky objects, but aren’t sure if it’s what we’re looking for. This can be a unique feature only your app (from my knowledge) has. I hope this gives you an idea to put in more feature(s) to the software.

Our place in the Universe
This information document is absolutely stunning, both in a visual sense and also in the quality of the information that it provides to the reader. I am a novice to astronomy, nevertheless, I find that my desire to learn more is invariably stimulated by the detailed and exciting presentations of the information a bout the Universe. From now on , just to be quirky, when I send letters etc. by snail mail I will include the full address all the way through bit the Universe , Just for the joy of it! Thank you for the delightful experiences that you provide to all at Vito.
Poor user experience and design
I’ve purchased StarWalk a few years ago and have found it better than other apps. I was disappointed that I now had to buy StarWalk2 in order to see features such as SpaceX Starlink but figured I’d buy that satellite pack. It was a spectacular disappointment because it didn’t provide me the ability to find or track Starlink when I know from other websites that it should be passing overhead.
The constellation animations are so bright that I lose my night vision if I glance at the app for a location check. Dancing and glimmering bright animations is the opposite of what I’d expected in an app which would be mostly used in dark conditions outside.
This is coupled with the ads which are so frequent that I’d consider them to be a non-negotiable purchase. As others have also mentioned, there’s an ad every few seconds. I understand the in-app purchase model but StarWalk2 is at ridiculous levels.
I rate this one star for StarWalk2 design and usability, and one star extra because of good memories of the original StarWalk experience. Sorry to the devs, I know you’ve probably slaved away to make this but it feels like one of the many apps I tossed aside when purchasing StarWalk.

The images of constellations are optional, you can easily turn them off in the settings of the app (menu/settings/constellations). This ad-supported version helps a lot of people use the app for free. Hope that you will enjoy the app in the future.
