Description

Create storyboards: draw, arrange, time, write, and animate.

Use the simple drawing interface to sketch a panel or import (with drag and drop) from any other app. Set the timing, write dialog, action, and SFX for each panel. Play the board back as an animatic to get a feel of your final project.

Export as a video, PDF, HTML, images, or text file.

Timing can be as small as a single frame, so real-time animations can be demonstrated within the board. Tap on the "scene" circles to increment the scene count (swipe to decrement).

Made for iPad, works on iPhone.

What’s New

Very big potential

I just used this to do a storyboard pitch at work. Some things I rather do on my iPad than on my PC with TVpaint if I can. If ironed out this might be my main go to tool. The fact you can time your shots and export straight as an animatic is really good. These are the things that hold it back. Bugs: pinch zoom causes me to leave a mark, when I type in descriptions the panels disappear and it crashes more frequently than I want it to (IPad Pro 2018), and Procreate import doesn’t always work. Easy features to fix: Remove onion skin during play back It’s annoying to toggle that on and off just because I want a preview. The option to cut and paste backgrounds or other layers. Becomes an issue during some fix ups. Improve the brush engine a little, give the brushes opacity. Fix these and it’s my regular work tool.

A few suggestions

It’s a really nice, simple and easy-to-use app, I really like the overall feel of it. The only suggestions I have is maybe add more brush-diversity? Like sketching pens and finalising pens - like a drawing app.
The app sometimes feels a little too simple and straightforward, and it makes me feel as if something is off. Maybe that’s just me haha. The speed at which the line follows the pen also feels strange to me, as if it’s too fast. Idk.
But yeah, word of advice, try to add more brushes and make it feel a little more natural if that’s possible :) Thank you for reading!

Very Nice but a bit buggy

This is a pretty good app to do storyboarding on, despite it being a bit buggy at times. That being said, I used this app before and can see that it’s improved quite a bit. I just bought the full version, hope to see more improvements, and hopefully more features in the future :)
