StoryBuilder for iPad 4+

Have trialled this with several of my students they absolutely love the ease that they can actually write a story. The fact that this App alows them to take a chance when they are working out what they want to say and it provides the visuals and the verbal prompts to make inferences and predict what is happenning in a picture and how to start their sentence is wonderful. I would recomend this App to anybody with children but especially for those with children who have disabilities or learning difficulties. This App gives them the opportunity to practice what they want to say until they feel confident enough to want to record their very own story. It also gives them the opportunity to work on theadjectives and adverbs that make stories great as they gain further skills in this area. Well done. from A4CWSN

I downloaded this app as my daughter (9) has auditory processing issues and some of the web reviews mentioned it could be helpful.
She loves it! I'm not sure if it is helpful but she has totally enjoyed making the stories and hearing her voice recorded in the playbacks. Her brother (11) has also had fun with sound effects in the background and making stories of his own.
Really worthwhile for children of all ages and ability levels.
Would be good if when you emailed the story it was a video so you got the verbal and picture stimuli. Also if you could import your own pictures and narrate them, would be a great extension.

This is a very user friendly APP that assists students in developing their skills with regards to writing a story. The combination of visual and verbal cues are brilliant and the APP allows the student to record their own voice and become an author in their own right. They can then replay their story, which is fantastic as it allows them to gain a greater sense of appreciation and understanding of the whole process of writing a story. They develop a greater sense of imagination, use a broader vocabulary with plenty of adjectivies and create sentences that have more purpose. A really well planned and designed APP. Well done!
