Sunrise/ set
It helps me in when the sun rise and set in the mornings and nights, so I don’t miss out the beautiful sun that rises and set if I wake up early for it during the mornings and have a nice view for both sun rise and set to take a beautiful picture
Please add alarms

I really like your well-presented and functional app.
To make it perfect for me, could you please consider adding alarms? I’d like an alarm that would alert me when there’s a certain amount of time left until sunset. This would help me time my walk for the most sun-safe time of the day and still have me get back before dark.
I don’t think any other app does this and I’d be happy to pay for that function as an in-app purchase.

Thank you for your positive review. I normally deal better with these sorts of questions in detail on my support page, but I can provide a brief response here. I have had requests to provide notifications and alarms in the past but there are issues with doing this with any accuracy in the app so I have not done it at the moment. A few apps have tried to do it, but they are very unreliable and may have privacy issues. The reason there are issues is that sunrise and sunset times are very sensitive to your location and change as you move about. In order for the alarms and notifications to be accurate the app must monitor your location very carefully all the time - even when the app is not running - to see if you have moved about significantly and reschedule the alarms if you have changed location as the sunrise and sunset times change as you move. This sort of monitoring uses up an awful lot of battery power on the device and also has privacy implications as the app would be detecting your location constantly day and night to make sure the sunrise and sunset alarms are accurate. I do not want to have these issues, so I do not provide this service at the moment. If you want further detail, please do write to me from the support website inside the app and I will be happy to provide more information. Cheers!

I have had this app for years. I use it for landscape photography to work out sunset times. It’s very useful.
