SuperVision+ Goggles can turn your iPhone into a head mounted display device, for near and far distance viewing. It is designed to be used together with a virtual reality goggles, which are widely available on the market.
It is a great magnifying and telescopic tool for tasks that require hand free, frequent change in viewing of distance.

If your goggles are equipped with magnet button, you can use head gesture to change settings. Otherwise, you can double tap the screen to toggle on setting menu.

Excellent idea but software needs work
Having low vision, i was looking for an app that offers competition to the more expensive options. used this app with an 8 Plus & it appear that zooming in on the app doesn’t zoom in with the hardware camera (just focuses on a smaller portion of the zoomed out image... becoming out of focus).
Excellent idea & am glad to see people working on this but with that issue the use is limited.
