Great app

I love this app and use it all the time. The guys writing the reports seem to know what their talking about. The cameras a fairly good, the quality could be better tho. The multi cam is great where available. A few more spots with multiple cam would benefit users greatly.

I would recommend combining the shark tracker app with this somehow. A collaboration with the two apps and better quality camera vision as mentioned would bring this app up to a 5 star app.

In conclusion I would definitely recommend this app for others to use.

Needs to Get the Basics Right

I have subscribed to three different apps and Surfline has exciting features but as an everyday app to check the surf for the week ahead it has some serious flaws. Most importantly its often very wrong, even on the day of the forecast for my home breaks on the E Coast. Reading the app and looking out the window often make me wonder why I spent the money. I live at Palm Beach so it also makes me question why the nearby buoy listed there is often not the Gold Coast for example today it gives Gladstone buoy data and the report is ankle to knee high, well maybe for the Jolly Green Giant but for anyone else its a mushy waist to head high. The report is wrong and you would have to ask is that because the algorithm is using the wrong buoy info. I also find it a little frustrating that- the web page gives more detail but if you leave it you have to sign back in; even though I pay for premium you still get ads; know before you go is hard to find on the website and even when I am signed in I still get messages to go Premium. In contrast to the above I really like the news feed, the graphs of swell size and angles and the explore tab all of these are very nice. I haven’t tried test flight but think that’s also an exciting idea. But for a surfer who just wants to plan his next surf, its over valued for the often not accurate information it supplies (where I surf).

A Great Surf Report

Surfline is an ok app and personally I wouldn't use a different one due to its superiority in cameras, but some of the reports say 1-2ft for the Perth area on a 4ft day. For the Margeret River Pro this year it said that the height was 2-3ft. This is just a major inconvenience i find that putting the settings on face height instead of traditional height is slightly more accurate. Apart from that the app is great with semi accurate winds and tides. The Regional Forecast and Premium Analysis are great aswell just with a little inconsistency the further the date is to the current one. The swell maps is impressive and easy to read aswell. An overall ok app

Update a week later: The app now keeps on crashing my account I can't read any reports without it crashing. I've reset my password, phone and deleted the app over and again but nothing seems to work.
