Works great

Seemless integration with my self hosted paperless instance, highly recommended

Unusable if you care about security

Just let people use certificate, forcing your users to drop https because your app is crying about certificate issue is not a good practice

Self-signed certificates can be used if you add them to the system certificate store. Alternatively, configure your instance to use a trusted certificate, which is even better for security.
