A glitch
Been using this for years but at the moment it’s playing up always glitching keyboard jumps and when typing plays up it’s getting pretty annoying never had an issue till last week
I’ll have it on numbers try to type numbers in and will just go back to alphabet by itself or I’ll try type a word and coz it’s jumps word won’t type properly
Adapts to my typing!
This is my favourite keyboard. I've used it for a few years now and all the other ones just frustrate me!
It's the only iPhone keyboard I can use without having to look at what keys I'm pressing. When my phone was running out of space, SwiftKey started crashing a lot. Then it disappeared one day. However, I found that I was making SO MANY typing mistakes with the iPhone's default keyboard! I had to press each key carefully or else it would be typo spaghetti! On reinstalling SwiftKey and going through the settings, I realised that it was because SwiftKey was adjusting its own map to match where my fingers tend to press. Therefore, I don't have to look too carefully at the keyboard because the keyboard has also adapted to my fingers. All other keyboards are extremely frustrating in comparison! Although ultimately, I'll always prefer a good ol' physical keyboard! And I would actually love a phone that came with a physical tactile keyboard that slides out from under the screen or something! Even if it was slightly fatter and heavier 😆
My only complaint is that it doesn't have support for Chinese! Nor does it have support for many other Asian languages - not Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Khmer.
Other than English, I mainly use Simplified Chinese Pinyin and I don't understand why it hasn't been included agter all these years, especially being owned by Microsoft who otherwise have extensive language resources.
Pretty good app but..
..could be better.
Autocorrect and multi-lingual support is pretty amazing, the number row, emojis and gif searching, clipboard saving, full stop on the main keyboard all feel like massive improvements over the Apple keyboard
But accuracy feels like a big step back. There are many times I feel like I don't type as well and constantly miss letters, switch to the normal keyboard and have no problem.. some other things -
There's no way to edit themes. If you feel you made a theme too dark or light or want to change a colour or background or name, you have to remake it
With the number row on (which is super useful) it seems autocorrect has no use if you accidentally type a number in a word, you have to tap in the autocorrect field for it to correct a number in a word
It takes 2 taps to search for emojis (again super useful). I wish I could just press + once, start typing and it starts searching, then press < and start typing to go back to normal again
Apostrophe in the full stop hold-menu would be really handy
Again, accuracy. I prefer this keyboard but Apple's just feels way more accurate. I almost never miss on theirs
