Ratings and Reviews
Love the game but needs new features
The art is beautiful, the storyline is addicting, and the characters are deep.
Now for some critique. The levels can sometimes get impossibly hard the further you get unless you use a million power ups and buy extra lives. I see this as being a cash drain if you’re so inclined to spend real money to buy coins to purchase these power ups (I admit I’ve done so).
Secondly, and this is just a personal hang up, I’m absolutely sick of love triangles. You’ve got amazing character representation here, so many sexualities and culture identities and disability representation and we’re still stuck in monogamous mode when polyamory exists in this very real world (and makes perfect sense in the world of Switchcraft).
Third, I would LOVE to see a level index where we could go back and play some levels. I’ve enjoyed quite a few of them and I was sad to finish and immediately forget them.
Addicting
Positives: literally can’t stop playing, captivating storyline makes it almost impossible to stop. Love the characters and their individual personalities. Beautiful art style - kudos to the art team.
Negatives: levels can get very difficult the higher we get, the frogs don’t seem to target helpful spots and can be the deciding factor of win or lose. The ghosts can be so aggravating and are my least favourite level challenge. But the biggest of all is the seemingly forced romance between characters. Is there ever a point where we can outright pick someone/no one and everyone else leaves us alone?
I’m saying that, the negatives in no way outshine the positives. I would recommend this game to anyone with free time or someone that loves match 3 games with a spin.
Loving it!
I love it! I’m up to level 95 for the puzzles but still early in the story (chapter 5). I really enjoy the art style and the music fits perfectly with the story they’re create. I also love how you’re not having to spend money on this game or watch non stop ads all the time to get the “best outcomes” like a lot of other interactive stories available.
The only thing is I wish some of the story parts were a little longer with maybe a few more choices and interactions. Maybe instead of 10 or so stages of each chapter maybe around 5 to 7 stages of each chapter to get more story time? But otherwise, amazing!!
I would have to say this is my second favourite story game following “The Arcana”
