The Crossword and Anagram Solver helps you when you get stuck on a crossword:
• Enter the letters you already know, and the blank squares you don't, and let the app do the rest
• Solve anagrams
• Shuffle anagram letters manually, to give you a hint without handing you the answer immediately
• Look up words in the thesaurus, and get lists of synonyms
• Get definitions of words (built-in, or using DuckDuckGo's online dictionary)
Basic crossword solving is always free. The advanced features require a paid upgrade (after a free trial to try them out).

Something odd..
Hi Richard, I absolutely love this app and have found it to be indispensable whilst doing crosswords,it is the best! I think I’ve been using it for 5 years or so,maybe more, my memory isn’t what it was. Anyway something odd happened today-I moved house and haven’t done a crossword or used this app for about 12 months and first time back was looking for a word, typed in ?P?A?H and the only answer came up was SPLASH but that was wrong for what I needed. It should have also given me SPEACH as well. This has never, ever happened before that the answer list given to me was incomplete. Am I doing something wrong by this latest update? Thanks again for a great app, douglas renouf

Is this a specialised word or have you misspelled this? Speech is usually spelled with a double-e. That might explain the omission?
Excellent...just one thing...
Terrific app, Richard. Just the thing for when my brain finally gives up. Particularly like the multiple word phrases that can solve (n,m)-type answers. Would just like a way to add new words or phrases it doesn't have but do come up in crosswords.
I couldn’t agree more with the above that came up when I tapped on “write a review”. The inability to have user-added words that aren’t already in the app’s word list is so frustrating. Please add this function so I can add the extra “star” to my rating. Thanks in advance.
Crossword help
This is without doubt the best crossword assistant that I have found in the App Store. I have tried several but always returned to this App.
Further, I am very impressed with the developer who is very responsive to any bug or concern. I had a problem with IOS 13 and dark mode preventing type showing on the screen. I raised this issue with the developer and received a very speedy response and a work around. I notice that within a very short period of time the problem corrected. Well done and thank you.
