Convinced a sceptic!

I loathed the idea of ‘self-care’ and thought it was woo-woo and indulgent. I was recommended this ap from someone I trusted and gave it a go. In small, bite sized pieces it introduced me to the logic, science and reason behind these practices. I’ve done the course now and see how valuable it is to reflect and focus on making sure I’m okay. The sessions are so accessible and there is so much choice to pick activities and tools that suit me, my situation and the time I have. I live in a remote area in Australia so many services are not available to me in person. This app has been a real benefit in lots of little ways and each time I do a short session, I always feel better. Thanks to all who created and developed this and particularly for steering clear of the woo woo.

An exceptional app

I am delighted with this app - a wealth of materials, without being overwhelming. The 28 day course progresses systematically, to facilitate learning in a logical, step by step fashion. There is also flexibility built in, so that all course material can be unlocked, for those who may already have some self-compassion training, or simply prefer to wander their own path. The voices of the course guide, and meditation guides, are pleasant and calming. I am generally wary of paying a subscription fee for meditation/mental health apps, as I worry that I will not keep using them for long enough to justify the expense. That has not been a problem in this case, as I find I am drawn to regularly engaging with the material and exercises provided.

A really helpful way to improve my self-compassion

I initially tried the app for its free first days as I was looking to add better self-compassion to my mental health toolkit. When a reduced cost option happened at end of 2021 I bought the app. Yes it was pricey at (then) $77 AUD with 20% already applied but I was ready to learn more & become engaged properly in the 28 day program.
It had a few hiccups in use which were cleared up via contact with app developers.
I found it an excellent, self paced program which has benefitted me greatly. I can now access the program at any time to review any parts of self compassion that I might want to work on.

Highly recommended!
