Booking time changed?
So I received an email stating that my booking has been changed to to day later at 5:15AM? Is this a glitch? However I did receive the correct confirmation email from the restaurant I booked via this app. I also can’t log on after downloading the new app. After entering my password, and error fallback message constantly pops up. This new app needs a reboot.
New update very poor
I’m a frequent user of this app for years but this latest upgrade for November 2019 in Australia is a very poor user experience. The search function is considerably more difficult to find restaurants. I have looked on restaurant website and found it quicker. Restaurants that are fully booked don’t have any message, just looks like app not working. I’m sure in Perth there are a lot more restaurants that used to be on this app that I now can’t find. My first choice now is to look on opentable or the restaurant website, this is the last resort, whereas it was always my first. You need to fix it quick. Also getting confirmations on the app of places I visited yesterday to say “your next booking is confirmed for yesterday”, and wrong time zones . Plus filtering searches by distance shows results in random distance order.
Great system - with a minor setback
The Fork app is great - very very easy to find restaurants with free tables at short notice in a strange city. Great discount incentive system. Only issue is that on an iPhone (latest model) the app sometimes gets into a state where only some of the buttons work - for example (but not the only example) you can swipe through the photos left and right, but the ‘see all photos’ button stops working sometimes, also the ‘back’ button. Fix this and it’ll be perfect.
