Love this game!

Just a nice blend of rpg dungeon crawlery exploration goodness. Towards the end I bought the “starter pack” after someone on reddit confirmed that you still get the bonuses from watching ads but don’t have to watch ads - I had assumed I’d lose those bonuses if I bought that, but nope. I have finally defeated the final creature and am a long way from the start - really hoping there will be an update. I don’t mind if it’s a paid unlock for chapter II or something, a dev has to make money to make it work while to continue development. Maybe not everyone else understands, can see that, or can afford it. Anyway I’m hoping for more of this great game one day :) Thanks - really enjoyed it.

This game was very enjoyable for the first half i couldn’t stop playing it. At first I was a little taken back by the fact the camera is fixed but then came to realise it was better that way anyways. The games art style is amazing and all the sprites look great. However by the time I unlocked the cabin I was disappointed by the battle mechanics and it demotivated me to play. It sometimes feels like whether or not you will hit or be hit is down to RNG and it makes it a little frustrating to go deeper into the feeler whilst not taking damage, this is the only thing holding me back from giving this game a 5 star review and I feel like this issue could be fixed with an attack button that appears when u enter the cellar, it could even have a slight collodion to keep the player moving to avoid attacks. Other than this however the game is great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a game to play that doesn’t require much brain power.

Btw, I absolutely love the way this game handles adds, they are a rare occurrence and when it does happen it actually comes as a benefit as it makes the time to regenerate your hearts quicker (technically).
So prompts to the devs there, there’s nothing more annoying than a fun game that plays an ad every 30 seconds but you guys nailed it.

Brilliantly addicting but easy to finish in its current state

I almost never leave reviews but this game really does get what mobile games should be - addicting, easy to navigate and simplistic controls. My only issues with the game as it currently stands are:

1. That the combat mechanic is sorely missing a way to control attacks better. My character will often stop their original task to wait for an enemy to attack them (presumably a routing oversight or my character sensing aggravation and trying to attack back?) or not attacking at all.

2. I know the game is still in development, but it took me less than 2 days of passive gameplay to complete everything in the current build. At this point, I can kill the ‘boss’ in ~3 to 4 hits and I have maxed out hearts leaving money to be redundant. Gameplay as it stands for me now is farming in the basement for loot drops as the upgrade system works on a loop of different resources once you get past a certain level.

3. Scaling for heart prices vs selling prices seems a bit off. It basically requires you to wait for ad bundles to progress. (This also applies to some upgrades which causes the game to get very grind-y past a certain point.) Wish there was a better way to make coins easily or potentially by resources (at a loss to the player) with excess coins.

Once the next phase of content is released I look forward to playing.
