Even if you have never drawn or painted before, ToonPAINT sets you up for quick success by providing a "MagiSketch" that you can simply color-in. Good app BUT needs update

I like this app but it needs a PAINT ONLY option.. I regularly toonify people at parties for a laugh, but if I want to colour/paint the saved scetch (that I created taking a pic within the app) at a later time and email to my friends, the app forces u to re-toonify the saved image resulting in very bad toons, rather than allow me to only colour it because it has already been tooned!
Other than this design flaw, the app is great. And I will change my rating when fixed in a not too distant update.

I like it

The lines and shading produced in the sketches here are strong and distinct among the various ‘toon’ apps I have. That you can paint your image with your own choice of equally strong colours produces impressive results. It makes a super colouring ‘book’ for kids!

I do find the interface a little cumbersome, and it is frustrating accidentally hitting the buttons when painting near the edges. I’d like to see a simpler pan & zoom, as well as a ‘home’ button for quick access to the load image screen.

Also, there appears to be a bug when painting square images. Once saved to the camera roll, the paint area shrinks away far too obviously from the lines and edges of the picture. Portrait and landscape images both work fine.

Nonetheless it’s a worthy and unique app that I especially like to use in combination with other photo apps. And full resolution output is a huge plus!

THE BEST OF THE BEST

This app will not disapoint, it is just so unbelievably good. Brilliant, The Best of the Best, Outstanding. If I could rate this app 10 star I would. If your into cartooning and like me, have tried every cartoon editing type app in the store then wait till you try this one. This REALLY DOES turn your pics taken or stored into cartoons and it's so very simple to do. For anyone who enjoys a bit of photo editing and fun this app will take first place, and like me, will have a permanent place on the iPhone.

