Nice game

4.5 stars. Similar to genshin impact but easier for f2p player, simple gameplay, but looking for black nucleuses feels repetitive. And for those that think dodging is “hard” I would like to tell you that’s ur skill issue, just get better at the game. Game is not laggy for me if it is for any of you out there that’s ur device’s problem, Tof is much easier to run than genshin. Improvements can be the climbing, sometimes I’m on a climbable wall but it character just won’t grab on, characters turning feels bad because when you’re on an edge and looking over, you can’t turn back because you’ll fall cuz character can’t physically walk back one step but instead they have to walk forward to make a turn.

It’s OK

It’s alright for what it is, and compared to other mobile titles it’s obviously great, but it shows its influences a little to obviously.

It’s pretty obvious this game is trying to be like Genshin Impact. From UI design to progression systems, gameplay mechanics, and even the story’s motivation for the player, it’s pretty blatant. There are some larger differences like combat which feels a lot more satisfying with extended combos and aerial combat, along with the weapon system, but to achieve this the game seems to sacrifice a lot of the depth found in Genshin’s elemental reactions and character builds. There are also things like certain mechanics and enemy animations that seem heavily… inspired… by other games as well. One early boss in the story has the exact same move set as a character from Devil May Cry, to the point where I could literally name each combo being copied from that game.
This sort of thing isn’t usually that big of an issue; Genshin itself gets a lot of flack for taking heavy inspiration from things like Devil May Cry’s animations and Breath of the Wild’s game design, but with Genshin there’s always enough to make it feel distinct and the execution is always top notch, where as here it starts to feel like just a collage of different games and, without the polish Genshin has, it starts to feel a little cheap.

Not bad, but unoriginal (no hate)

I haven’t played much of this game, but it seems alright overall. From what I’ve read in other reviews, it seems like there is much to be improved within the game in terms of more specific things, but it’s extremely obvious that when you look at the game altogether, it’s really just another Genshin Impact wannabe game, only with a bit better quality than most of them. A few people have mentioned the similarities in their reviews, but they don’t really talk about it much, so I thought I should. First of all, when I searched up this game in the App Store, Genshin Impact was the second thing that came up. Even the algorithm can tell.
The main difference with this and Genshin Impact is that it has less of a fantasy theme and more of a cyberpunk theme, but even then it could still be categorised as a fantasy game; it is called “Tower of Fantasy” after all. That, and the fact that it’s also an anime and gacha game (plus the choice at the start between a female and male character), is what makes it clear that this is a Genshin Impact ripoff. If you ignore that fact, the game is fairly decent, but if people wanted to play something this similar to Genshin Impact, they’d just play Genshin Impact.
