Description
TP-Link tpPLC app lets you conveniently view and manage your TP-Link powerline devices via your smart device.
Simply connect your smart device to the Wi-Fi network of a compatible TP-Link powerline extender and start managing with ease. It will list all the compatible powerline adapters and powerline extenders in your current network, and allow you to manage your powerline devices individually as well as the whole powerline network with a few taps.
Features
• Display information of all compatible powerline devices in the current network.
• Manage a powerline device such as changing its device name, turning on or off its LEDs, viewing its data rate, resetting to factory defaults, and removing it from the current network. For a powerline extender, you can also change and schedule its Wi-Fi settings, and redirect to the web management interface.
• Manage the whole powerline network such as adding a new powerline device, setting a new powerline network name, and turning on or off the LEDs on all the powerline devices in the network.

Junk App!
If you're here it means you've already bought the hardware - consider returning for another product that has a working software package.
This junk App doesn't have the all models and isn't certified for MacOS.
The hardware works well enough though it's very difficult to do any management via the App(s) - you need to apply workaorunds to get in and manage the hardware via the software.
Simple to setup and use… when the units are the right way around
I bought an AV1300 kit that came with a main unit and a repeater unit that has Wi-Fi. To be clear for the sake of this review, only the repeater unit has Wi-Fi and that’s perfectly fine. I kept plugging in the large main unit into the modem and the smaller repeater unit into a power point further away but it would connect and then drop out. I chatted with TP-Link and was helped in 2 minutes: the small unit is the main unit and the larger unit is the repeater! Makes sense since the repeater has more functionality, i.e. it has Wi-Fi. Once that was sorted and I stopped being embarrassed, I have only one issue left: the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi download (only the download) drops to <1 Mbps when it should be around 50Mbps. The upload is fine.
Although this app lets me see the powerline speeds in both directions, it doesn’t really let me check much about the Wi-Fi. However, for all other functions, it is simple and easy to use. The app could do with a few extra features, namely more Wi-Fi troubleshooting capability.
Missing ‘Power Save’ function
The app ‘found’ my adapter and extender no problem and the functions seem to work fine. However it is missing the ‘power save’ option. The adapter unit is set to save power after 5 minutes of inactivity as a default. This means that when watching a video it turns itself off after 5 minutes. Very frustrating. This function isn’t mentioned in the manual or set up guide. To switch off Power Save Mode you have to download the utility app and enter the advanced settings to find Power Save Mode. For something that is likely to impact every user it’s crazy it’s not in the app and not mentioned in the set up guide.
