Great start
Thanks for setting up such a service, especially from Australia! Few bugs (app chrases when setting notifications, Twitter account blocked). Also, would be nice if the app features could be unlocked after donating enough "coffees" to you.

Fails its main function
Too bad that both current and forecast UV levels are completely off compared to the data from ARPANSA
Widget and watch app are very good but what’s the point if you can’t trust the numbers shown
It’s 9:45am in Sydney with full overcast. ARPANSA real-time UV value is 1.3, UVmate 5.1
Update: Yes, I had “cloud absorption” option on. Without it the difference between app’s UV value and the real-time measure from ARPANSA was even worse
I compared values through the day and values from the app were way off both real-time and forecasts from ARPANSA
I live in a major Australian city, as majority of Australian population does, and simple calculated/real-time data from ARPANSA would suit me well. Would you consider adding an option to turn off all fancy sources / models and just use unaltered data provided by them? Or maybe a light version of the app that will show only real-time time and calculated (clear sky) values and have a widget/watch app

Hi Timofey, thanks for your feedback.
Please check did you set the Clouds absorption on? If it's the overcast the app calculates UV Index with clouds correction factor provided by Forecast.io weather service. Unfortunately lag for weather info could caused the discrepancy as well.
Also our UV Index Forecast calculation is based on the publications of The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) and The National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) of New Zealand and unlike the ARPASNA real-time data that available just for the major Australias cities the app works for any location on Earth providing precise information to access the risk of being outside.
Updated: Hi Timofey, we definitely have a plan to consider ARPASNA data as well as using other countries official data providers as a prioritised UV Index data source for our future releases. Sunshine
Having had 3 skin cancers removed (benign) we’ve started to check on UV levels and needs to coverup when levels are high. This app is very handy for this.
