Ratings and Reviews
Worked ok but now have to pay for cloud subscription
Not the best designed app but works most of the time. It can be a bit flaky but what do you expect from a cheap camera.
The more recent versions are much more stable than earlier ones.
Make sure the camera gas access to a good WiFi signal.
Every few weeks needs to have login details re-entered.
Recent versions of app are requesting location services be enabled on my phone. Why does a camera need to know where the viewer is located?
Previous version of app let me view 2 minute alarm videos. Current version tells me I have to subscribe to cloud services to view full video. Looks like a sneaky way to generate revenue. Not happy that I have to pay for something that was free previously. My camera has an SD card installed to store videos. Why would pay for cloud storage I don’t need?
Excellent once set up
Excellent once set up. So man expletive have had trouble within as well as the V380HS and V380s and almost all complaints are about connecting to the camera. The trick is to 1. power on the camera and wait for voice messages, 2. Press the reset button (or use a pin in the reset hole) for about 3 sec. 3. Turn on wifi in your phone or tablet, making sure the phone/tablet is less than 1.5 m away and chose the camera wifi signal, not your regular wifi provider. 4 follow the directions in the leaflet to connect. Don't enter a camera password until after it connects -- if it says online click the play button and it will now ask for a camera password. You can name the camera then. If unsuccessful reset the camera. For sms messages (another frequent complaint) use the phone options to allow messages.
I do not recommend V380pro because it is hard to use, not obvious how to playback or record and the arrangement of files is wasteful of space and highly annoying. The V380 is simple to use one connected. Pan/zoom is great.
Terrible. App won’t open - have to delete and download ever 2 days
This was always a pretty poorly designed app, with confusing menu options and counter-intuitive labels, and biz are requests for confirmations of totally reversible actions like stopping the playing of a clip.
But now the developer has actually made it worse- it regularly freezes on launch and so I’m having to delete the app and reinstall it every couple of days.
The only thing worse is V380 Pro, which bombards you with ads. Totally unacceptable given we need the app to use the security cameras that you sell - and which the people downloading this app have _already_ purchased cameras!!
