About us
Vampire's Fall: Origins has been in development for three years. We set out to create a serious RPG for mobile phones without the usual mobile game mechanics. There's no energy system. There's no 50-click tutorial. There's little hand holding. There are, in our opinion, interesting battle mechanics, funny dialogues and a sense of wonder in the world. From our three indie-dev hearts, good luck and have fun!

Fantastic experience

9/10 experience. Quite a fun game indeed! The best part is the humour, which I’m constantly surprised and impressed by. The only clear weakness for me is the lack of variation in the world - it’s all rather similar for the most part. It’d be nice seeing some different styles of location - though perhaps at level 24 I just haven’t played far enough through. I really liked the way you got me to write this review - clever stuff indeed, breaking the fourth wall and all that. Additionally, the number of npcs is really nice - it makes the different areas feel more alive, without much more than a couple of lines of text. Nicely done!

That being said... I’d like to be able to enter some buildings. I can imagine it would accentuate the immersion/legitimacy of the game world, giving an additional side to the world’s character. It’s the one part that feels missing, when comparing this game to other positive isometric game experiences I’ve had. Kind of difficult to retroactively introduce, however. Regardless, good job!

Great game years ago, great game today

Played this like 7 years ago or something, loved it. So much that I think I might have purchased some perks, but I can’t remember. Storyline is great, visual style makes me think of the non-subterranean Diablo stuff, but this is far more open-world and less railroady. Combat system is interesting and unique, and built on the similarly inventive character development system. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, but is still seriously immersive and detailed.

I’ve never come across a game this … full feeling for free. Only bug seems to be the restore purchases button: when I hit it *nothing* happens. I’d have thought it would at least prompt me to enter some details so it can check records or something (I don’t usually purchase anything in games, but my early experience of this was so good I *might* have made an exception… can’t remember!)

Great for a short rpg fix... or a long one.

I appreciate a game that saves your position when you shutdown and allows you to progress from exactly where you left. Especially convenient for a mobile game. Apart from that this is a well made old school rpg, that has a decent story and enjoyable turn based combat. Once you get past the early stages the game opens up and you have a huge game in front of you. The iap’s are there but are not necessary to progress.
My only concern is that the game is also going to be released on pc. From past experiences with other iOS games that usually means the death of the mobile version. Just be warned.

Dear stubbieoz,
Thank you for your 5-star review. It's great to hear that you are enjoying the game.
Best regards,
Paulina
