Why did i have to again download already downloaded issues when you updated the app? Thumbs down VF

Bring back the old app!

VF, what is happening? The updated app is terrible. The print is microscopic, though I can’t zoom in on the words to read them clearer without the text becoming fuzzy. Photos are split across two pages (like the print magazine) but I can’t view the entire spread on one page, so you constantly have to swipe left and right to get the entire photo and align it with the caption. To add insult to injury, the app struggles to automatically display the pages in full size (without the header) so I have to zoom in and out to make that header disappear. I also have to manually find the appropriate page to continue reading an article. The text isn’t searchable either, and there are no hyperlinks, so I can’t look up words or quickly click a link. I am regretting renewing my subscription to be honest. Please, please bring back the old digital app!

Cutting edge to bottom of the barrel

As far as magazine apps go, VF was fantastic, so much interactivity. Twitter feeds embedded, interactive diagrams, fantastic user centred design at work! I’d been a long term print subscriber and switched to the digital edition and loved it.
Then... what happened? Since March 2018 it’s like the work experience kid put the print edition on the scanner and they published that! Gone are the accessible features, scrolling is a nightmare and even trying to zoom to read it is cumbersome. Along with a completely unnecessary masthead and cover rethink, the app is awful. Is it analog cool? It’s cover to cover stupid design decisions and I have cancelled my subscription.
