This idea is vivi and its wireless screens bring software is a very good idea and has huge potential. My school uses it and it is sadly the worst thing that our school has ever received. Vivi is seen as a common joke and something to make fun of due to its extreme technical issues and lack of performance. Firstly, the connection to smart screens (whiteboards) is very slow and difficult to get connected, once connected it is common for this connection to drop out and the board goes blank. This is very frustrating in an environment where you are trying to learn. Most of the time teachers give up in VIVI and resort to cable connections. Secondly, playing videos through the app is EXTREMELY laggy and lacks quality. The video on screen (whiteboard) will play about 2 seconds behind the computer screen and will often buffer and lose connection again furthermore, there will also be issues with audio and its lack of quality or just the lack of audio. Personally I’m surprised our school still uses Vivi and not other software. Thirdly, the development team barely release updates and the software seems to be understaffed and poorly operated as updates are casually released and they don’t even help connection issues. In a nutshell VIVI is a great idea and has huge potential as a software however, due to its listed issues the app is difficult to use and 9/10 times given up on by teachers etc. I would love to see VIVI be used and work well yet, this just doesn’t seem to be the case. Overall the app and software seem neglected and I would like to see a change.

- Thank you

Developer Response ,

Dear GriffinGH,

We are sorry to hear the challenges that your school is having with Vivi.
Have you made your school’s IT department aware of these issues? If not, we strongly suggest that you approach them first to discuss so they can raise a support ticket with us directly and then we can work with them to resolve the issues.
