Surprisingly great recording app
I was surprised, pleasantly, when I began to use this app, expecting it to be more like one of the simpler apps that just record and perhaps transcribe. I’ve found it’s editing and conversion functions particularly welcome.
I just wish developers wouldn’t release multiple apps that are very difficult indeed to distinguish between! Why do they do that? Would someone please tell me? How do I even know which version I have? Seriously, it’s a problem - have you seen the app “USB Disk”? 😳 WOW... that app had babies!
But I like this app a lot. 4 out of 5 redundancies.
So far so adequate.
Better than just my regular iphone app. I like that the features have icons that convey the meaning of what they do. Would like to see more features of course considering the price, which would need a system of on-screen tutorials to help us non-audiophiles understand the terminology and how the advanced options work to help us explore the possibilities of quick and easy recording. For the record, this app has, in a few recordings opened me up to the idea of actually learning about and making music instead of just loving it. An early review but I like to help 🙂
Needs one additional feature
Subsequent to my last review in which I said that this app was perfect I would like to suggest one improvement:
On the Apple Watch, as soon as you open the app it starts recording immediately.
I have the Voice Recorder as a complication on my watch and I am getting a lot of unintended recordings because every time the complication is touched accidentally (which is very easy to do) it starts recording immediately.
There should be an option under ‘Settings’ to allow recording immediately or ‘do not start recording until you press the record button inside the app’.
So, what I would like on the watch:
1. Press once to open the app, which then shows a red ‘Record’ button.
2. You then press this red Record button to start the recording.
