Stay cool and updated. Via the app, you can manage over-the-air updates at the times that suit you best.

What a pure garbage. Volvo should be ashamed!
This app is a total garbage. Randomly logs you out and then every time to log back in you need to go through 2FA. Even my banking app lets me in using FaceID! Other than that, the app barely has any functionality. The only things you can do is to lock and unlock (which takes almost forever to be executed) and climetise the car which fails more than half the times! For the other half, it only runs for 15 minutes so there is little to no impact to the air in the cabin on a hot or cold day! You cannot open the boot via app or open and close windows or anything else. Should I have known the app is such a garbage I wouldn’t buy the car. The funny things is the “Volvo EX30 app” is one of the major things Volvo advertises about this car

2FA always needed and now can’t use the app
When I first had the car the app worked, mostly, although at least once a day I would need to go through the 2FA process of pin retrieval via email (which is a pain).
Then the key fob stopped working and the dealership attempted to upgrade the car’s software and I haven’t been able to use the app since.
I have now removed and reinstalled the owner profile whilst also deleting the app and “theoretically “ removing the data. I reinstalled the app and all the old data was restored. I am still unable to access the car via the app.
As other reviewers have indicated Volvo should look at the competitions app for inspiration.
PLEASE GET THIS FIXED VOLVO.
For a brand new car with fantastic feature and driving it is a shame to be let down by poor software app development.
Working OK but would love to see more charging options.
Using 1.7.4 and haven’t had any of the 2FA issues reported by others (yet).
The app contains solid basic functions but has more potential to be developed. I would love to see the ability to adjust the charging current from the app depending how much excess solar generation I have (if I can adjust this in the car why not in the app too?)
