Can’t update

The app keeps on telling me that there is a software update but can’t access the update date and tells me to try again later. It’s been months and it still doesn’t work.

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing. Please try to update by following the next steps: open the Wallbox App, go to settings, charger information, charger software and update. Terrible app & charger - REGRET going with Wallbox

Have the Wallbox pulsar plus charger. The app and the charger do not even talk to each other properly. Every time they update the app, the charger ends up disconnecting from the internet and needing a whole “switch off and back on” at the very least. And this results in you plugging your car in at night ready to do a scheduled charge, to then come out in the morning to find the car didn’t charge at all overnight! Absolutely USELESS! And you report problems with the app to the support and they put all the issues on you when it’s actually their software and updates that have failed! And then you have work to do to get it working again. I’m still having the issue of my schedules and notifications coming through at the wrong time. Telling me to plug charger in to car for its schedule at 3pm rather than at 10pm at night… good one Wallbox!

Hello Cbar94. Thank you for leaving us your experience! When there are issues with Wi-fi, a quick solution is always to restart the devices first with Wi-Fi off and with Bluetooth on. Always make sure you are close to the charger (within six meters) and have a strong connection. Unreliable and a pain to use

Got Wallbox Pulsar as a bundle with new EV. So expected them to synchronise effortlessly with each other. Not so. Scheduled charging is a random event - sometimes works, sometimes not. Very annoying and inconvenient when overnight charging did not take place!!! Best to wait until after 10pm and then manually connect charger to make sure EV and Wallbox are talking with each other that night.
Wall box software updates are also a joke. Always hangs and the only way to fix is delete and reload app. Have alerted Chargefox to the problem but their fatalism in dealing with this product pretty well says it all!!
I like the features it offers. Just a pity they seem to have ignored the basics like reliability and compatibility.
