A few nuisances
There is no easy way to copy the MTCN from the app. They used to have a share MTCN feature earlier, which is now removed.
The name of the bank branch is saved but never comes up prefilled in the receiver’s bank details and causes an error.
Using POLI as a payment option is good. But once payment is made, a browser window opens , takes you away from the app and re directs you to WU website. There is no confirmation shown. when you come back to the app, the payment does not show as being sent.
Finally, why can’t the most frequently used countries be brought up in the list based on the individual user’s frequently used countries?
Worst Customer Service and App Experience
Everytime I try to make a transaction the error c9999 comes up. When I complained about it, they said it will be fixed in 24-48 hours! Waiting 5 days after that but no response from them. I called again, they “Assured” me that someone will contact me within 24 hours. Did they? NO! Its been a month since then. Still not able to use the app and still get the error message. They then sent me an automated email saying I should go to an agent to make a transaction meanwhile they are fixing this.
Well, if I could go to an agent everytime I wanted to make a transaction, I would have never downloaded the app in the first place. I downloaded it because I thought it is convenient and time efficient because I work 9-5 5 days a week (the only time agents are open here). To go an agent I have to go a long way which will consume half me Saturday (also most of them are closed on Weekends).
I have contacted 4 times already in a month but there is absolutely no response or initiative from there side! They keep making fake promises of either solving the problem or someone contacting me. Also keep saying we are aware of this and it a “MINOR” issue which can be easily solved! Well, then why isn’t it solved yet?
Only their service is worse than their app
I’d give zero, if I could. Couldn’t change the recipient’s country - stuck on Australia. Emailed Customer ‘Care’ and waited two days for a response. ‘Send a screenshot ‘. Yes, sure, and wait two more days? Finally got the app working and came up against the team who verify your bank account. I cannot believe that anyone in any form of employment could be as abysmally stupid as these people, so am forced to conclude that it was deliberate obstructiveness. Numerous emails and an entire afternoon wasted and I give up. Going to send the money via telegraphic transfer from my bank. Of course, I now have to wait seven days for Western Union to refund my money. Funny how they could take the money out instantly, just couldn’t do anything with it. Utterly useless.
