Terrible app - results in fines
App failed to register my payments on a number of occasions leading to fines from the company. I wrote to them advising I used the app and it was glitchy at those times. Tried a few times, I thought the payments had gone through and of course I’m happy to resolve the parking payments. They replied that the fines must be paid and I should have called at the time if issues with the app. Even if I realised payments didn’t go through, of course no phone number is visible on any of their signs in the parking lot or in the app. Terrible app and company.
Oh, also emailing transaction receipts doesn’t work in the app. I have to email their support requesting receipts. Takes a week for their reply and team do not seem to understand ‘please email me my last 5 invoices’. They email 3 etc.. terrible app, terrible company.
Waste of money- rip off!
Do not use the app as it will cost you money.
I used the app for a $5 all day parking session ending at midnight. Did not “end” the session as I thought it would stop at midnight but when checking my junk email a few days later found an email stating I haven’t ended the session and was still paying for the parking. Got a huge amount taken straight off my credit card. I even set up several “reminder” notifications in the app thinking it would go to my mobile not to junk email. I got no response from Wilson’s when I made an enquiry. Use the pay stations as you have more control.
I am supporter of Wilson parking but the app is unfriendly and designed to rip you off. Select the early bird rate and it still forces you to log off. Don’t forget as the rate is punishing. The same principles should apply as with the machine that does not require you to log off. Also pay by cc on the machine and there’s no extra charge. Pay by the app and get hit with a 50c charge. Go figure, I will be deleting the app as it offers no better convenience and too much risk.
