Cool design, some bugs

Looks nice and pretty. Chat is a minimal experience. File sharing is easy. Overall it feels like a stripped down version of Skype…which is a good thing. Beware, there are some bugs…I can’t chat with some contacts for some reason.

Lovely design, missing some OS X integration

This is visually lovely, polished, and looks like it will be an excellent replacement for Skype for me.

* cross-device integration seems very tight
* audio quality seems excellent

It does have a few downsides:

* it doesn’t show any indication that the other user is typing
* I wish the UI was not so large: minimum window size is 760x680px (for reference, about the same width as Slack’s app, but almost twice as high)
* no automatic emoticons via the desktop app (eg converting :) to a smiley face) but you can still use OS X's control-command-space
* each new msg only appears in the flow when it has been delivered to the other end (I’m guessing), which means it feels a bit laggy
* it’s an Electron app, so you lose things like OS X spell-checking / autocorrection / text replacements
