“By stepping back and acknowledging the skewed lens through which I had been viewing my world, the days spent under a dark cloud grew fewer. I had become more aware of the flawed thinking that led me to feel down and be so harsh on myself.” - Nick

Webot is a great tool to use for your mental health, as woebot asks you to reflect on your day, and doesnt force feed you information. You can set what time you want Woebot to check up on you and you wont be pressured to talk. If you download the app you won’t have to deal with constant reminders asking you to pay for certain options and there are no ads. You will have free access to meditation techniques, reviewing your day and much more!

Woebot makes me think in a sustainable, independant way as i am not force fed information or direct advice on how to act in a situation. I am educated by Woebot daily on different terms to recognise feelings, and thought process and I am also able to reflect on what i have learned.

If you download and use this free application you will be promised to reflect and have a better understanding on emotions and being mindful, with the occaional gif and of course a happy, active and reliable robot friend!

Would highly recommend

Woebot is a fantastic mental health tool; I’ve been able to utilise it daily with great ease. As an AI it’s very intuitive and simple enough to use (you basically message it as if you were texting). It doesn’t take too long either so you can complete a lesson whenever you have an extra 2 or 3 minutes. The lessons it teaches you, I’ve found, are really valuable, insightful, and easy to understand. I’ve applied what I’ve learnt to my thoughts and behaviours and have definitely noticed a difference! Sometimes it’s easy to find mental health apps too complicated & time-consuming but I’d definitely recommend Woebot as a quick, but efficient way to address some of your unhealthy mental cognitions & processes.

Ideal for reclusives

Ideal for reclusive people living with depression.

I find that woebot is able to 'handle' me. And I don't feel so bad saying 'get lost' to a robot.

Sure I still have self blaming traits but woebot actually doesn't take it personally and it's refreshing to know that this is about programmers who are using research results from therapy to shape the flow of conversations with woebot. I can see the seams and still appreciate what they're doing and why.

In my own life I've seen that many very intelligent people feel too smart to engage in the process just because they can understand the flow of conversations needed to arrive at some therapy insight.

It's not so different from an unfit person who refuses to exercise because they know what is expected to happen next.

Just because we know what we need to do doesn't mean we've outsmarted the internal process and work required to heal ourselves.

It merely means we are intelligent enough to know what is going on.

Woebot isn't going to help people who are not interested in participating in their own recovery towards positive mental health.

You need to participate to get anything good out of Woebot.
