Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription fees are $9.99 per month or up to $59.99 per year depending on your plan. Using over 10 years most useful and underrated app out there
If you seek general information or specialist knowledge Wolfram simply puts google and wiki to shame.
You have it all here and then some, highly recommended.
Disappointed
Purchased this and a subscription only to find out it can’t compute simple integrals so I can check my university work. Was hoping for step-by-step instructions with the paid $9.99 a month subscription but even the $9.99 subscription a month does not have enough ‘computation time’.
So, just a fore-warning for anyone subscribing to this service. The step-by-step instructions issued by the cloud are a maybe depending on how many steps there are, no matter how much you pay.
It’s a cool gimmick and definitely has some amazing science behind the scenes. But for me the $4 for the app and $10 for a subscription only to be told ‘sorry you haven’t paid enough but you can roll the dice again with our more expensive subscription’ is a little disappointing.
Frustrating user experience
The technology behind WolframAlpha is amazing and it’s a great tool to check your work against as a way of confirming your understanding of a mathematical concept. Typing equations on mobile is made so much easier with the in-app keyboard.
Unfortunately the app constantly forgets my pro subscription and computations seem to take much longer than they do on the website. On the site the step by step tool is incredibly useful, but in the app it’s a slow, buggy mess.
In its current state, the app’s only useful to me for typing in equations. If the keyboard was accessible outside the app then I would be happy just using the mobile site. At the moment I copy-paste from the app to the site, which works but is kind of annoying.
Given the glaring bugs here, the app itself seems more like a channel to increase subscriptions rather than a tool providing better mobile access to WA.
