What’s New

Version 20.4

We made some performance improvements to the Gallery and Image blocks in the Block Editor. This will help images take up less storage on your site and keep your device from slowing down during media uploads. We feel the need for speed.

If your site uses VideoPress, any Video blocks saved on the web version of the site will now display properly in the mobile app, too.

The block inserter in the Block Editor now allows block types to be better organised in collections. We also made a small spacing adjustment in the alt text footnote in Image blocks because little things are important, too.

Last but not least, we squashed a pesky bug in the site creation process. When you’re scrolling through site design options horizontally, the app now remembers where you left off, even if you scroll up and down on the page.

WordPress was recommended

Great service and Google friendly as recommended by my SEO service company many years ago.. Google likes WordPress because is it’s algorithms so if you have a well designed website .. great service or product with plenty of good quality blogs and keywords plus great linkage you will become successful .. basically.. yes it’s all time consuming and frustrating but hard work rewards...

Two issues?

I have used Wordpress for many travel blogs now and it is a great way for family and friends to ‘travel’ with us.

With my current blog, I am having trouble with photo captions. As I write my blog, captions jump out into the text. Some photos ‘refuse’ to accept captions in spite of editing them back in. Any suggestions?

My second problem is videos. I have regularly posted at least one video during a journey. I posted one just a couple of weeks ago and I’ve had comments from friends who have watched it. This morning Wordpress told me that I have to upgrade to support video posting! What has happened?

Great quick tool to use (free)

I chose to use WordPress for a school project, and I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s going great. I’m having close to no troubles adding photos and information, and switching from draft site pages to published and back again is really easy. It’s free which makes it better than any website that you have to pay for if you don’t have (enough) money. Although it does glitch out sometimes (doesn’t everything?) if you just close and restart the application it works fine. I recommend it because it’s really good for a free app :)
