Words - Connections Word Game 17+

I was expecting to get a new game once a day as I do for Wordle so I don’t understand why, when I solve one, I get asked if I want to go to the next level and then I have to put up with ads. How do I get the once a day version where I can compare with others?

I love the game Connections and was introduced to it on the NYT Games app. I was looking for a way to play multiple games of Connections without having to wait a day between sessions, and this app seems to accomodate that. However, the starting levels are ridiculously easy and you are force fed ads between each level that you cannot skip for at least 30 seconds - I end up spending more time looking at ads in this app than actual gameplay. I gave up after level 3 because I’m not subjecting myself to that torment just to play another round of obvious groups to connect with each other. I’d absolutely pay for a subscription if there were a way to remove ads and play harder levels, but there is no option to do so. Please give people the option to support the work of developers other than ads. This game is great, but this app is unplayable without a way to remove ads.

This is a terrific app if you pay to go ad free. I complained about a glitch after the recent update that was giving me a frozen screen. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it’s back to performing as usual. The only downside was I lost my data regarding the levels I’d previously completed. Later levels were increasingly more difficult so I miss the challenge but don’t mind working up to that again.
