Player Away
If a player does take their turn after a certain time period they should lose their turn and if it’s the last word they should be booted otherwise I have to press resign and take a loss. Not good especially if you have more points.
Annoying Tutorial; I just want to PLAY the game
Tutorial goes on forever and is very annoying. I downloaded this game on the recommendation of a family member, hoping to just get on and play with people I know. Playing against the bot dragged on and wasn’t fun because it was “tutorial easy” and had that condescending nature to it; which is understandable in these sorts of games but really annoying that it couldn’t be skipped like plenty of other similar games allow. But then on top of the unskippable tutorial, it forces you to VS a *random* real player. Absolutely not doing that. I am not going to be forced into VSing with complete strangers instead of being allowed to just PLAY the game. Not sure if that was the end of the tutorial or not, but if it was not then just. JFC. Allow skipping or shorten it.
Also has the usual word game problem of “Australian words aren’t counted because we only have US and UK English dictionaries! :) No other variants!” Which considering current AU standard English uses a mix of common spellings from both UK and US + has plenty of its own unique words and spellings is very annoying. Probably a part of the reason I have no patience for the tut taking so long.
Otherwise idk. The game worked & the UI is clean and easy to look at and figure out. Points for being visually appealing. Person who recommended it to me seems to like it.
Very good word game, quite addictive
I struggle to find word games that are challenging enough, i was a huge fan of Qatqi (RIP), and I now enjoy WWF. This new game is quite challenging and also quick to play, which I really enjoy. Visually it’s cute and quirky and has a lot of similarities with WWF. The only thing I don’t like is the ads, I would much prefer that they were optional (or non-existent!), where you can choose to watch an ad for free gems or whatever., they are very annoying and I can’t see any way to avoid them. Other than that, it’s quite an addictive little game.
