More Free Planes But Best Flight Simulator
Ok so, when I first bought this game I thought it was going to be your average plane game, dove obstacles and unrealistically move your plane up and down left and right without consequences but it wasn’t, now I’m not a Pio lot so I don’t know how accurate it is but definitely for the average player does it feel like your actually training (in a simulator). However some of the challenges require certain planes that aren’t free which limits your experience quite a lot especially since each plane is about $8 EACH.
So great game would recommend, devs please add more free planes that you can do challenges with or don’t require a certain plane for a certain challenge.
A few more planes would be nice
Ok, I’m going to start with this. X-plane 10 is by far the best flight simulator on the App Store, perhaps even the best on any mobile device. Since I downloaded it I have had lots of fun creating different scenarios, from simple cross-country flights in the Cessna 172 to trying to land a DC-3 with one engine dead and a damaged hydraulic system. The only thing that would make the game better, is that I love aircraft of the 1930’s/40’s, and it would be great if you amazing developers out there could add a few more, and if that was too hard even just one would satisfy my hunger for this type of Aircraft. I mean, the DC-3 is great, but after a while you want to try something new. My favourite 1930’s/40’s aircraft are the Junkers JU-52 trimotor and the Messerschmitt BF-109, and if you could add those, especially the 109, (as there are no WWII fighters) then I would be forever grateful. One more thing is that one of the battery switches in the DC-3 doesn’t work. I mean, you can turn on the switch but you just cant turn it off. (I like fully switching off the aircraft after I land). Anyway, this is a great game and I congratulate the developers on successfully using the concept of an interactive cockpit!
Controls and tutorials are terrible
The landing tutorials always keep telling that I am too high, and so whenever I try to lower the plane more, I end up hitting the ground or it even cancels the mission on me because I am not doing well when in fact I am, and was always about to land perfectly on the runway. The calibration doesn’t even work and only makes it worse with having me to hold my device looking straight up just to fly straight forward. I end up getting a sore back after all this trouble.
Every time I try to open or close the map, I end up accidentally opening the autopilot controls and I end up clicking on either of the buttons messing me up because the arrow slider is in an annoying spot. Sometimes the plane can randomly drop down or spin like crazy even though I haven’t set any failures on or anything.
This app really needs to fix their controls and GUI positioning, especially the calibration as I can’t even play while holding my device in a weird and uncomfortable position.
